Leadership

Our firm is headed by Dr. Joseph Penbera who has been recognized by the editor of Kiplinger’s, the China Invest in the U.S. Summit, the Presidential Secretariat of Brazil, and The White House Consortium of Cabinet Agencies as one of the foremost economists in the world. Dr. Penbera was appointed Senior Fulbright Scholar in Economics, one of the most prestigious scholarly appointments in the U.S. He is a recipient of Seckler Hudson and Eaton Fellowships, and is a member of the National Association of Forensic Economists and the Financial Executives Institute. He has performed more than 300 cases and consultancies encompassing many economic sectors and public and private organizations.    

A graduate of American U., The Baruch School/CUNY, and Rutgers, Dr. Penbera did postgraduate work at the MIT/Bowdoin Computation Center and completed the Harvard Senior Finance Program and the FINRA Series 7. He has served as a university business dean and professor in California and Ohio, and lead the pioneering CSP Program with the U. of Waterloo, Apple, and IBM and other institutions to comprehensively integrate information technology into business school curriculum. He also published one of the first refereed articles on the economics of e-commerce and co-authored a Bookwatch Bestseller.

He was designated as a financial expert by the SEC and NY Stock Exchange under Sarbanes Oxley, and has served on the board of directors of several major U.S. corporations, including Rug Doctor (ACAS-NYSE), and Vendo (VEN-NYSE, now Sanden, Japan).  Dr. Penbera founded the first internet portal in agriculture, a health care technology company, and the California Energy Investment Center, a DHS/USCIS investment center whose projects encompass more than $3.5 billion in capital investment. 

Dr. Penbera is a co-founder of the Fresno Grizzlies AAA Baseball team, the San Joaquin River Parkway Trust, and a public-private partnership for at-risk youth. He received the ORMASZ Medal (Poland) and the Paul Harris Medal for meritorious civic service.
